Sex Drive As We Get Older |

Age and physical fitness can affect sex drive. From around the age of 40, hormone levels begin to change with the onset of menopause. This can cause women to lose interest in sex or not want to have as much sex as they did pre-menopause. Women with enduring health issues may also struggle to ‘perform’ like they did when they were younger.
Confidence plays a massive part in feeling sexually attractive. This can obviously affect women of any age, but lack of confidence can increase significantly as we get older and lose our more youthful attributes. Another consequence of menopause is less production of natural lubrication (vaginal dryness).
If you are experiencing menopause there is support and advice available online or from your GP. The menopause doesn't necessarily require medical treatment but there are things that you can do for yourself to ease the symptoms.
